Having been presented with the highest award for any attorney/judge, The Blackstone Award, Judge L. Clifford Davis quoted the following: I am an advocate for SOCIO-ECONOMIC RESPONSIBILITY. This involves care for one’s family welfare that includes instilling in children at an early age the importance of good cultural habits, education, respect for all people, plans for a career, AND for positive participation in the community development as adults. I believe every person has individual CIVIL RESPONSIBILITY to advocate for equal opportunity for all persons regardless of an age, race, gender, or economic status.
